SAMPLE LETTER

Dear Republican voter,

Would you like to get to know your Republican neighbors AND help build a stronger GOP in Philadelphia?  Most Republicans in Philly don't know who their fellow Republicans are in their own neighborhoods!  So, we’ve come up with a plan.  

THE PLAN:  "Getting To Know You!"  Upon receiving your request, we will send to you a "STREET LIST" of voters and their political affiliation who live in your Division, which will give you and your GOP neighbors an opportunity to meet and organize so that, hopefully, your division has 2 committee persons and some additional volunteers. It's never too late to become a Republican Committee Person through an appointment process.

TO REQUEST YOUR STREET LIST AND/OR REQUEST TO BE A COMMITTEE PERSON, please email me (your email) return this letter to (your address) and include your name, address, and division (if known). These street lists are not to be used for commercial or nonpolitical purposes.

What do Committee Persons do?  They elect their Ward Leaders, who in turn elect the Party Chair, who represents the party to the public. Committee Persons also help to recruit candidates for office, collect signatures on candidate petitions, register voters, and get out the vote for Election Day. In addition, they can also assist those people in their Divisions who need advice or assistance. Frankly, the job is what you make of it, but it is well worth the effort. Democracy depends on public participation!
