All nations need a armed citizenry, strong military, and effective police force to secure their borders, protect the public, and maintain law and order. However, the Democratic Party and left-wing political parties around the world appear intent on dismantling, or at least minimizing, these protections. We support:

The Second Amendment: Without the right to own, carry, and use guns, we are defenseless against our enemies, both foreign and domestic, like the citizens of so many other countries down through history to the present times have discovered... after their government took away their weapons.
Secure Borders: Legal immigration only and its full enforcement is a requirement for any government to successfully manage people and resources. There should be a federal law that requires the full cooperation of local and state authorities, and there should be a penalty for government officials who encourage illegal immigration, as President Biden and the Democratic Party did, and still does, through their Sanctuary City and State laws, policies, and programs. Keep in mind that 60-80 million people visit the U.S. every year, and Sanctuary polities are designed to encourage many to stay here, illegally.
A Strong & Smart Military: The best offense is a good defense. The public should also be ready to do their part, but unfortunately 77% of young people in the U.S. are unfit for military duty for a variety of reasons. This is why the military should assist in creating school curriculums, online and in-person, including nutritional and fitness programs for K-College. A mandatory draft is always an option for the military, but the voluntary approach seems to be working well... although an argument can be made that it disassociates the public from the consequences of a nation's foreign policy.
Effective Law Enforcement: On the federal, state, and local level, we may need a federal law that would require that states and local municipalities make our streets safe and protect the public or face jail time themselves. Defense attorneys masquerading as District Attorneys and prosecutors, must end. We may also need a federal law that would require that state and local governments commit the mentally disabled and/or drug addicted individuals to secure facilities in which they received mandatory and appropriate treatment and care, if they have demonstrated an inability or unwillingness to care for themselves, although The Americans With Disabilities Act may already give government officials that power. Lastly, professionally trained & certified armed security officers, including qualified school personnel, should be present at all schools.
Public Prisons Only: There should be a ban on private prisons as they incentivize incarceration, which is clearly not a good thing. In addition, effective rehabilitation, education, and job training programs at public prisons is a necessity, for one day most prisoners will return to society.

End the Death Penalty: If the death penalty is an option, then there's a chance that it can be abused or used on those who are innocent, and that mistake would be irreversible. A more appropriate solution to horrific crimes is life in prison for the criminal.
